For the Solicitor the introduction of the HIP marks a major change in the conveyancing process. In an ever increasingly competitive property market, it’s vital for an Solicitor to stay one step ahead of the competition. Full HIP can help. There are two main paths to take;
- Many legal firms are choosing to compile HIPs themselves. This is what conveyancing staff are already trained to do - compile legal documents. By choosing to take control yourself you determine who undertakes the searches and the the EPC.
- The alternative is to use an outsourced Home Information Pack provider to compile the various elements of a HIP, similar to the way that many companies are using personal search organisations today.
Our simple, yet flexible advanced pack provision service has been carefully tailored to provide the service that best meets your legal firms's requirements. You can rest easy that your requirements are being satisfied by a local company who understands your needs. We will supply at an agreed price. The price you charge your client is your business.
HIPs can be ordered with the mandatory Energy Performance Certificate or with the optional Home Condition Report included. We will train you, if necessary, on how to explain the benefits of including an HCR in the HIP. HIPs containing an HCR is more expensive.
All Home Condition Reports (HCRs) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) will be produced by qualified Home Inspectors. As part of our commitment to quality Full HIP only uses Home Inspectors to carry out both HCR and EPC inspections. In addition to their own Code of Conducts all HIs have to agree to the very comprehensive Full HIP Code of Conduct.
The options and service we provide are;
- Order and Forget - You explain that you will arrange for your client's HIP to be supplied by a local, reliable, professional company. You order the HIP from us. We will contact the client and arrange for the EPC or HCR inspection, carry out the searches, compile and deliver direct to either your client or yourself (or both).
- Branded HIPs - similar to 'Order and forget' except that the HIP will be supplied branded with your firms name and logo.
- Referral Only – We will take care of it and let you get on with your business. For this you will receive a referral fee and can rest in the knowledge that your client’s HIP will be delivered in the shortest possible time. HIPs containing an HCR will command a higher referral fee.
- EPC or HCR only- If you are choosing to take total control of the HIP process yourself we can supply the Home Inspector to perform the required inspection and produce the report for inclusion in your HIP.
- Independent. Unlike many other HIP providers, We supply our the HIP as complete standalone products. There are no conveyancing restrictions, no 'tie-ins' and no obligations placed on either you, or your clients, to use any other related services.
- Competitively priced. Our pricing structure is completely transparent. You or your clients will know from the outset how much their HIP will cost.
- Supply in a variety of formats. We can supply copies in various formats; hard copy , electronic or CD; whichever is the most convenient to you and your clients and of course, copies for prospective purchasers as required.
- Client support. Our service doesn’t stop when we’ve supplied you or your client’s HIP. Our knowledgeable staff are always on hand to answer any questions that either you, your vendors, or their buyers may have regarding their HIP.
- We do not cross sell. We do not cross sell other financial and/or legal products. Hence your relationships with Estate Agents, mortgage intermediaries and surveyors will not be compromised in anyway by putting your HIP business with Full HIP.
