Full HIP Energy Performance Certificate
|
|
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a mandatory part of a Home Information Pack (HIP). We are happy to supply this to others who are producing their own HIP package. For a detailed explanation of the EPC please look at the About Hips section of our website or go direct to the EPC page.
If you are a Property Professional, or Pack Provider you can order an EPC safe in the knowledge that the Certificate will be accurate and the assessment has been carried out by a qualified Home Inspector (or qualified DEA continuing their training to become a Home Inspector or a DEA recommended by a HI). This can be supplied to you as a separate service, incorporated into a Full HIP or your own branded HIP.
If you are a homeowner who is not currently intending to sell their home you can still choose to commission an Energy Assessment in order to establish the Energy Efficiency and Environmental Impact Rating of your home. You can then use the recommendations to make improvements. Please contact us as we may be able to reduce the cost of such an inspection. This can be combined with a Home Condition inspection in our Pre-Market Inspection.
Full HIP can also advise you on inexpensive measures that you can take to reduce your utility bill and reduce your carbon footprint (does not require an EPC).
The cost of an EPC inspection depends on the size of the property. The current cost for a standard 3 or 4 bedroom property is given here. EPCs for Property Professionals and other HIP Providers will be done at contract rates depending on anticipated volume.
